In several regions of the world, we can observe different types of integration: from the supranational type of integration, where nation-states are obsolete, to the intergovernmental type of integration, where nation-states are resilient. In some regions, we can also observe the phenomenon of 'absence of war'. This course theoretically attempts to examine and analyse various regional integration phenomena, with a particular focus on the EU and European integration.
The subjects to be taken are as follows:

--- 'Federalism' of the EU and the USA
5. Regional Institutions and the 'absence of War'
--- APEC, ARF, ASEAN+3, SAARC, NATA, OAS, GCC, AU, EAC, etc.
