"What is Europe?" In this course, we will think about what Europe is, predicated on thinking about the problems in the integration of Europe and tracing the path of the formation of European civilization. In terms of history, when and how did the concept of "Europe" arise, and what kind of meaning and significance did it come to hold? Students will examine what kind of aspects Europe, as a historical entity, came to possess in each era, region, and sector, spanning the prehistoric times of the West, Antiquity, and the Middle Ages.
