27. Sociocultural Studies (German Language)

Koichiro Agata, Professor (Waseda University) et al.

The course helps students: - To read and understand German articles or editorial comments on political/economic issues, - To shape and write their opinions in German in a critical manner, - To collect and analyze data in German, and - To make presentations on the relevant themes. For example, students read German articles on contemporary political and economic issues such as election systems or environment by learning German terminologies in those articles. Discussion on the issues in German is followed. Students then write essays as assignments which are edited by the tutors or make oral presentations on the relevant themes.
