The meeting was attended by 3 MPs and 3 representatives of the EU Delegation to Japan. They exchanged views on the general topic of more robust EU-Japan cooperation for better global governance. The exchanges at this brain-storming meeting were very productive. Participants were able to discuss several issues, and also to identify a number of issues which it would be valuable to discuss in greater detail in the future, such as climate change, human rights issues, international security, possible areas for EUJapan co-operation, and an Asian integration inspired by European experience.
